A QUICK GUIDE
How to use text case converter
Change the letter case of pasted text without removing its spaces, line breaks or punctuation. Choose uppercase, lowercase or title case, then copy the result. Processing happens in this tab.
- Paste or type your text.
- Choose Uppercase, Lowercase or Title Case.
- Read the converted text and copy it, or clear the input to start again.
Capitalize words in a short heading
Title Case turns “a SMALL how-to guide” into “A Small How-To Guide”. An apostrophe inside a word stays inside that word: “DON’T” becomes “Don’t”. Spaces and punctuation stay in place.
Good to know
- Title Case lowercases each word before capitalizing its first letter. Hyphens separate words; apostrophes inside words do not.
- Title Case capitalizes small words such as “a” and “of” too. It does not implement a publisher’s editorial style guide.
- Unicode case mappings can change the character count: for example, uppercasing “ß” produces “SS”. Characters without a letter case, including most emoji, are retained.
Common questions
Will capitalization preserve acronyms?
Uppercase and lowercase apply to all letters. Title Case lowercases each word before capitalizing its first letter, so “NASA” becomes “Nasa”. Review acronyms and names before publishing.
Does the tool remove extra whitespace?
No. Spaces, tabs and line breaks are retained. The browser text field uses its normal line-ending representation, and the conversion does not otherwise clean or reformat your text.
